Age 99, the son of the late James Oscar Hembree and the late Allie Couch Hembree.

He lived his entire lifetime in Carroll and Douglas County and was a self-employed carpenter and farmer. He was a longtime and faithful member of Flat Rock Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lennie Fae Mayfield Hembree; a son, Charles Hembree; a daughter, [Alice] Rudene Hunter; brothers, Revel Hembree, Rayford Hembree, Lawrence Hembree, V.C. Hembree, Ralph Hembree, Guy Hembree and Fred Hembree; and sisters; Ozell Hembree Waldrop and Mildred Hembree Boyd.

Survivors include his children, Stanley Hembree of Buchanan, Malinda Hembree Camp of Villa Rica, Virgil Hembree, Tim Hembree, Lamar Hembree, all of Villa Rica, Bobby Hembree of Beverly Hills, Florida, Vicky Hembree Caldwell of Temple, Cindy Hembree Samples of Sandhill and Gail Hembree McGee of Carrollton; 25 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren, 25 great-great grandchildren and two great-great-great grandchildren.
