DRUMMONDS - Joseph Isom Roberts, 92, retired farmer, died Wednesday at St. Joseph Hospital-East in Memphis following a long illness. Services at 2 p.m. today at Poplar Grove Assembly of God; burial in the church cemetery. Munford Funeral Home. He leaves four sons, Rev. Finis Rufus Roberts and Mosely "Muss" Roberts, both of Drummonds, Ruben Thomas Roberts of Munford and James "Bo" Lester Roberts of Dallas; two step-sons, Samuel "Sam" Edward Millican of Dallas and Joseph "Boon" E. Millican of Memphis, and three daughters, Mrs. Ola Mae Roberts Williamson of Munford, Mrs. Gertrude "Gertie" Roberts Millican of Drummonds and Elsie Mae Wash "Donna" Crump of Texas.

This type of grave marker engravement is very difficult to photograph, I've tried several lighting effects to no avail. Joseph's middle name was supposed to be spelled like his grandfather's "Isham", but ended up as "Isom".
