He is survived by his wife, Jacquetta; his son Eddie, two daughters, Christi and Erin McHale, stepson Bruce Monk; and grandchildren Ryan and Stephanie Monk.
He also leaves his sisters, Linda Thomas, Terry Thran, Cheryl Carey, as well as four nieces and seven nephews.
He grew up in Brookhaven, Pa., and was a successful entrepreneur and avid hunter and fisherman.
Funeral services were on July 3, 2003 at Millville United Methodist Church in Millville, Delaware. Interment at Mariner's Bethel United Methodist Church cemetery in Ocean View, Delaware.
