POTEET-- MRS. SARAH JANE, of 8 Crompton St., Lupton City, died Monday evening (Aug. 25, 1975) at the residence. She was a member of Wetmore Baptist Church and the widow of Rual R. Poteet. She is survived by five daughters, Miss Rosa Poteet, Miss Ethel Poteet, and Mrs. Gena Leatherwood, Hixson, TN; three sons, Woodrow Poteet, Lupton City; Ebb Poteet, Soddy, TN; Walter Poteet, Oklahoma City, OK; two brothers, Will England, Chattanooga; Charles England, Rossville, GA; 19 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Wednesday at the North Chapel of the Chattanooga Funeral Home with Rev. Roy Janeway and Rev. Arthur Humphries officiating. Active pallbearers will be Howard Grayson, Don Benefield, Bill Ray Corderil, Jim Perry, Kenneth Poteet, Sam Owen. Honorary pallbearers will be Neighbors of Lupton City. Interment will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens. The body is at the North Chapel of the Chattanooga Funeral Home. Highway 153 Hixson.
