The funeral was held Monday at the Ralston-Brown-McCauley Funeral Home in Petersburg with Fred King officiating. Burial was in the Talley Cemetery.
Mr. Farrar was a native of Bedford County and was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John C. Farrar. He was a retired employee of the Gaber Casteel Co. in Lewisburg.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Nora Elizabeth Morrison Farrar of Lewisburg; three daughters, Mrs. Wilma King of Petersburg, Mrs. Shirley Ann Stevens of Keller, Texas, and Miss Jeanette Elizabeth Farrar of Shelbyville; three sons, John William Farrar of Arlington, Texas, Gene Wilburn Farrar of Lynnville, and Ernie Lee Farrar of Lewisburg; one brother, J. C. Farrar of Pulaski; one sister, Mrs. Louise Brown of Crossville; grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
