Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Evenson Chapel of Carmi R. Pease, resident of Ellensburg for nearly 75 years, who died at his home at 707 N. Nanum Sunday morning. Services will be conducted by Rev. Laurence M. Arksey and burial will be at the IOOF Cemetery.

Pease, 79, had been in failing health for three years and had been ill for the past five months. He was born February 24, 1873 in Gold Run, California, coming to Ellensburg at the age of five. Je was married to Miss Addie Bruce here October 21, 1909. He farmed in the Damman District for 30 years and in the Woldale District for 11 years, moving to town in 1932. After that Pease was employed by the Kittitas County Road Department.

He is survived by his wife, a son George of Roy, Washington; Stanley and Carmi Jr. of Ellensburg; two daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Bauer of Lake Stevens, and Mrs. Anna Crowther of Ellensburg. He has 12 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
