Faye B. Bigger, 94, of Gould City, Michigan, died Thursday, April 19, 2007, at the Luce County Annex in Newberry, a long term care division of Helen Newberry Joy Hospital.

The former Faye Minor was born June 5, 1912, in Corrine to Oliver Minor and Margaret (nee Black) Minor. She attended school in Gould City, was graduated from Manistique High School, and went on to complete college business classes.

She was employed by Wisconsin Land and Lumber company in Hermansville, and later by John Deere Plow Company in Kansas City, Missouri.

Faye Minor married Emery E. Bigger in Alpena March 10, 1942, and the couple made their home in Gould City.

Faye Bigger was a member of Our lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Engadine and the Engadine Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing bingo, cards, and was a bowling league member at one time. Mrs. Bigger enjoyed traveling throughout the southwestern United States and Mexico. She was a homemaker and an employee the Stites General Store and Judson's/Ehn's Bar of Gould City.

Mrs. Bigger was survived by her sons and their families, Michael and Nancy Bigger of Gould City, Patrick and Penny Bigger of Valparaiso, Indiana, and Francis "Skip" Bigger of Gould City. She is also survived by six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Bigger was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Fern Chamberlain-Potvin, who died in 2002, and her husband, who died January 26, 1992.
