The Constitution: Atlanta, GA Tuesday, March 18, 1902
Raleigh, N.C., March 17 –(Special.)—Two confederate veterans died here yesterday, both well known locally. One was J.T. Watts, for twenty years a magistrate here. During the civil war he was in the "Crescent Regiment," of New Orleans. He was a member of the local, United Confederate Veterans, and was buried in its uniform today.
