Lawrence Post, age 90, of DeMotte, IN went home to be with his Lord on Tuesday August 30, 2011 at Oak Grove Christian Retirement Village in DeMotte, IN.
He was born on February 8, 1921 in Lafayette, IN to William and Maggie (Cooper) Post, both deceased.
Lawrence was owner operator of DeYoung Heating and Plumbing in Rensselaer for many years. On June 1, 1942 he married Katherine DeYoung, who survives. Lawrence was a member of the Immanuel United Reformed Church of De Motte, he had formerly served as an elder at the Bethel Christian Reformed Church and at the First Christian Reformed Church. Lawrence proudly served in the Army Air Corps during WW II.
Lawrence is survived by his loving wife, Kay of DeMotte, IN; sons: Steve (Barb) Post and Phil (Jean) Post, both of DeMotte; daughters: Judi (Don) Meister and Carol (Jim) Rockwall both of MI and Connie (Larry) Widley of TX; 12 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and a grandson.
