Member of a Pioneer Eastbay family. Wife of Simon Katten. Mother in law of Mischa Elman, world-famed violinist. Mischa and his wife, the former Helen Katten attended the funeral. Also survived by son, Simon Katten Jr; sisters Mrs. Hannah K. Zelmer, Mrs. Bertha Elkus (buried in Mountain View FG # 18981986) and Mrs. Henriette K. Manheim, two grandchildren, Joseph and Nadia Elman. Mrs. Katten was the daughter of Israel Kahn, pioneer Oakland merchant.
