and retired after 30 years as a wholesale driver for Meadow
Gold. His wife, Helen L., died in 1995.
Surviving are two daughters, Sandra Vanover and Barbara
Stump, both of Fort Wayne; three sons, Roland of Dade city,
Florida, John L. Junior of Angola and William of Fort Wayne; 12
grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Services at 10 AM Monday at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside
Park. Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave. Calling from 2 to 5 and 7
to 9 p.m. Sunday. Burial in Lindenwood Cemetery, with
military rites by American Legion Post 82. Memorials to
American Lung Association.
