Daughter of Peter and Ellen (Welch) McMahan, both born Ireland. She married Conrad Caspers [sic-as written on marriage record] June 30, 1872 at St Patrick Catholic Church in Wyandotte. Mother of seven known children including a set of triplets. When the triplets were young, they made a tour of museums. Ellen died of exhaustion due to stomach cancer at the age of 63y 9m 12d. Buried September 26, 1914 in Mt Carmel Cemetery in Wyandotte, Michigan. R. P. Barton of Perrysburg, Ohio was the undertaker.
