Marie (Peppy) Jones, 43, of 67 Oxford Street, Lee Park, Hanover Township, died yesterday at 3:05 pm at her home after a lingering illness.
Born in Luzerne, she was a daughter of Emma Scherry Jones, Lee Park, and the late Charles Jones. Prior to her illness, she was employed by Lee Textile Corporation, Wilkes-Barre.
Surviving besides her mother are a daughter, Gertrude, at home; brothers and sisters, Mrs. Alban Thomas, Bethlehem; Mrs. Peter Brenkosh, Niagara Falls, NY; Charles, Plymouth; Kenneth, West Hollywood, Fla.; and 11 nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 12:30 in Maple Hill Chapel where friends may call 7 to 10. Rev. Duane Collins of Douglass Presybterian Church will officiate. Interment in Oaklawn Cemetery, Hanover Township.
