Ruth Reible, age 88, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 8, 2011, after complications from a fall.
Ruth Doris Reible was born March 30, 1923. Her parents were Ernest and Elfrieda (Manthe) Schulenburg. She married Arbie Lee Reible on June 1, 1946, at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Leeds Township, where they still belong today. Ruth and Arbie lived and worked on their farm near Arlington. They raised four children there, Roger, Arlene, Randy and Arlette.
Ruth enjoyed being with her family for special occasions, crocheting afgans and especially getting hugs from her great-grandchildren. She was truly a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed by all.
Ruth is survived by her husband of 65 years, Arbie; her children, Roger (Betty) Reible of Arlington, Arlene (Julio) Gonzales and Arlette Reible (Kurt Kueffer) of DeForest; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, Nick (Jessi) and their children, Tyler and Samantha Reible, Brenda (Nick) and their children, Elizabeth and Erika Endres, Joanna (Brett) Switzky, Jessica (John) Galewski and their children Cade, Briar and Lily, Kasey Kohlhardt and daughter Mercedes, and Jared Koepp; a sister, Darlene Gentz of Waterloo; and Arbie's brothers, sisters, in-laws, and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Ervin in 1945; brother-in-law, Marvin in 1975; and her son, Randy in 1985.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 12, 2011, at ZION EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH with the Rev. Scott Schwertfeger officiating. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the service at the church. Interment will be at Zion Cemetery.
