She was born April 12, 1922, in McGregor to Kearby and Dottie Gordon Dorris. She was high school librarian in Ranger and Everman. She retired from Everman ISD in 1982 after 17 years. She was a member of Eastland First United Methodist Church and also Everman and Eastland Order of the Eastern Star. She was a member of the Eastland County Retired Teachers. She helped establish the Everman Public Library in 1986 and was chairman of the first library board.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, J.D. Drennan and George Brewer, and daughters, Linda Yarbrough and Donna Shepard.
Survivors: Son, Jim Drennan and wife, Penny, of Asheville, N.C.; daughter, Carol Naegele of Eastland; stepsons, Eddy Brewer of Stephenville and Freddy Brewer of Arlington; and sisters, Waldeen Pearson of Lubbock and Ann Maxwell and husband, Max, of Fort Worth. Many grandchildren and great-grandchildren share her love.
