Mr. Hallie Ingram Register,Sr. 84 of 603 Peterson St, Clinton, died Tuesday at Mary Gran Nursing Center, Clinton, NC.

Mr. Register, born in Sampson County, was the son of the late Cecil Ingram and Lola Tew Register. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a son, Michael L. Register, a son-in-law, Buddy Wrench, three sisters, Theola R. Stewart, Zeannie Bell Matthis and Willa Crea Warren. He was a member of Grove Park Baptist Church, a Veteran of the US Army having served in World War II. He was a member of the American Legion Post #22 where he served as past Commander and a former Scout Master of Boy Scout Troop #70. He was a retired Carpenter.

He is survived by his wife Ruby B. Register of the home, one daughter, Phyllis R. Wrench of Godwin, two sons, Hallie "Hal" I. Register, Jr. of Clinton, and Timothy G. Register of Garland, four sisters, Sybil R. Smith, Parnell R. Matthis and Mozzelle R. Hope all of Clinton,and Mae Eleanor R. Sullivan of Wilmington, two brothers, Craven Lee Register and Haywood Register both of Clinton, ten grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

The family recieved friends 6-8pm, Thursday, August 16, 2007 at the Royal-Hall Funeral Home in Clinton and other times at the home.

The funeral services were held at 11am, Friday, August 17, 2007 at Grove Park Baptist Church with the Rev. Michael Shook and the Rev. Tim Register officiating.

Burial was made in Grandview Memorial Gardens, Clinton, NC.
