Mr. Hepburn, a native of Tunkhannock, PA, was the son of Robert Hepburn and Josephine Jayne. He passed away in Pittston Hospital due to peritonitis from a ruptured duodenal ulcer. Don, as he was fondly called, spent the greatest part of his life in West Pittston. He was employed by the Lehigh Valley Railroad as a locomotive engineer for 48 years, retiring on January 30, 1959.
He was a member of the First Congregational Church, West Pittston and the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen.
He lived the latter part of his life with the Barnhart Family on 500 Montgomery Ave, West Pittston, PA. He was thought of as a member of their family. He was "Uncle Don" to the nieces and nephes of the Barnharts. His funeral was held from the Neil J. Donnelly Funeral Home, 802 Susquehanna Ave, West Pittston, PA.
Don was the brother of Ruth Naomi Hepburn Fox who passed away in 1956.
He was the ex-husband of Rose T. Hepburn, as per the 1930 US Federal census.
