Raised in Poteau, Oklahoma he enlisted in the Navy. Serving as a Naval Officer aboard the USS Goodhue, he received the Purple Heart. He graduated from University of Oklahoma with a degree in Geological Engineering. His career took him to Africa, Indonesia and Bangaladesh. Survived by his wife of 60 years, one daughter and one son, three grandsons and one granddaughter. The funeral was at Guardian Funeral Home West Chapel with burial in Rose Hill Burial Park.
