Clyde Everette Osborn, age 66, died Friday, April 22, 1977 in the Fayetteville hospital.

Everette was born October 14, 1910 at Fort Scott, Kansas to James Earl and Elizabeth Ann (Ryan) Osborn.

When he was 12 years old his parents moved the family from Fort Scott, Kansas to a farm near Elkins, Arkansas.

After he and Carrie Smith were married on October 11, 1930/

He was a rural mail carrier. He also farmed near Sulphur City for awhile, then during WWII they moved to California where he worked in the ship building industry. They then moved to Sapulpa, Oklahoma where he operated an automobile service station and the older son graduated high school in 1948. They moved to Fayetteville in 1951, where he worked as Service Manager at the Ford dealership until retiring in 1975.

He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and a founding member of Ridge View Baptist Church.

He was predeceased by his father; a grandchild; a sister, Mary Agnes Osborn; and two brothers, Thomas Fremont Osborn and James Dale Osborn.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Carrie Belle (Smith) Osborn; two sons, Carl M. (Norma Jean) Osborn of Fayetteville, and Raymond E. (Maxine) Osborn of Little Rock; a daughter, Wanda J. (James) Tackett of Fayetteville; five grandchildren; his mother of Noel, Missouri; two brothers, Leo Earl Osborn of Winslow and Wayne Harley Osborn of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and four sisters, Anna Marie Roehl, Fern Baker, and Opal M. Foster of Elkins and Laverna Faye Penn of Anderson, Missouri.

Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, April 25, 1977 at Ridgeview Baptist Church with Dr. Jerry Ford officiating.

Burial will be in Fairview Memorial Gardens, Fayetteville, under the direction of Moore's Chapel.

Pallbearers will be Willis Drake, Raymond Logue, Jack Masters, Clifton Baggett, Cecil Jones and Flint Mhoon.
