Early Life: Jack was born January 10, 1939, in Deer Lodge, Montana, son of Hugh Bott Copenhaver and Mary Ellen Phillips Copenhaver. He attended grade schools in the Ovando area, graduating from Powell County High School in Deer Lodge, where he was involved in music and FFA.
Life's Work | Service | Interests: Jack married Gail R. in Hidalgo, New Mexico, on April 1, 1963; they divorced May 29, 1964, in Missoula, Montana. They had one child. On June 2, 1965, he married Billie Annette "Ann" Smith in Ravalli County, Montana. They had two children, Jacqueline Sue "Jackie" Copenhaver and Guy Wendell Copenhaver. They divorced August 18, 1967, in Pocatello, Idaho. Jack then married Irene H. Muller Isaak on December 31, 1967. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. He worked in construction, as a heavy equipment operator, and most recently, he was employed as a logger. Jack Warren Copenhaver, a native of Ovando, Montana, passed from this life April 29, 1968, in American Falls, Idaho, due to a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He was 29.
Survived By: His widow, Irene Isaak Copenhaver; sons and daughter: Rickie, White Bear Lake, Minnesota; Guy & Jackie Sue, both of Darby, Montana; his parents, Spokane, Washington; his sister; and grandfather, Eugene Copenhaver, Ovando, Montana.
