Eli & Mary Cross Fish (my 6th great grandparents) who are buried there in Pawnee,
they had 10 children in New York. 5 of those children died between 1842 & 1843.
Surviving children: Eli Willard, William Levi, Warren, Walker J., and last Cornelia Susan (who I am related to.)
Eli & Mary Cross Fish moved to Wisconsin, with their children and are there in 1860, right before the Civil War breaks out in 1861. Warren Fish was 22 at the time, and I suspect he joined the military. Eli Willard & William Fish each marry and leave home.
1865- Eli & Mary Fish , along with 2 of their children & spouses move to Pawnee Nebraska…
1866 Walker Fish has his first child in Pawnee, and 2 years later, Cornelia & Frank have their 1st child, Bessie in 1868
In 1865, the Civil War ends, and 5 months later, both Walker J. Fish & Cornelia S. Fish get married on the same day…..August 30, 1865. (Walker Fish marries Mary Pearson, and Cornelia Fish marries Frank Jaeke.)
