Gaylon "Big Boy" Havel, 48, of Bryan passed away on Saturday, January 30, 2010, at St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan.

A gathering of family and friends will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, February 2, at Hillier Funeral Home. Funeral services are set for 10 a.m. Wednesday, February 3, at Hillier Funeral Home. The Rev. Joe Raiborn will officiate. Interment will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Franklin.

Big Boy was a supervisor for Chesapeake Operating for the past five years. He loved hunting, fishing, playing golf and hanging out with his family.

Gaylon touched many people with his kind heart and devotion to all. May we all take comfort in knowing Gaylon is in the loving and protective arms of God.

A measure of the bounds of love for a man in life is measured by how much he is missed when departed. "Paw Paw" and "Big Boot" will be missed greatly.
