Bill Stafford, 90, of Amarillo died Friday, Aug. 26, 2011.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Llano Cemetery with Dr. G.A. Roach officiating. Military rites are by Disabled American Veterans Chapter 26. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Bill was born Feb. 7, 1921, to Jessie and Etta Stafford. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and had worked in construction.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Juanita Stafford; a son, Terry Stafford; a sister; three brothers; and a grandchild, Earl Snead Jr.

Survivors include two daughters, Linda Williams and husband Bill of Amarillo and Judy Snead of Hendersonville, Tenn.; a sister, Alma Lee Snook and husband Luther of Dumas; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
