Mrs. Massey was born May 4, 1918 in Madison County where she lived and farmed all her life. She was the oldest member of Liberty Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vestel and Oma Plemmons Darnell; husband, Weaver Massey; 7 sisters and one brother.
Surviving is her daughter, Faye "Babe" Hall of New Jersey; Grace Sutton of Waynesville; grandsons, Michael and Parker Hall; nephews, Bud and Wayne Massey; five great grandchildren and five great, great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, August 7, 2011 at Liberty Baptist Church with the Reverend Greg Warren officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 12 noon Sunday, August 7, 2011 at Madison Funeral Home.
