Mr. Hardwick was born March 30, 1931 in Horry County, a son of the late Willis Palmer Hardwick, Sr. and the late Ina Mae Perritt Hardwick. He retired as a superintendent for Inland Bridge Company. Mr. Hardwick attended Mt. Trolly Freewill Baptist Church.
Surviving Mr. Hardwick are: his Children: Clarice Gardner and her husband Larry of Lugoff, Paul Hardwick and his wife Roxanne of Florence, David Hardwick and his wife Verna of Florence and Martha Hardwick of Raleigh, N.C.; 9 Grand-children; 4 Great Grandchildren; a Sister: Shirley Barnhill of Galivants Ferry; 2 Brothers: Wayne Hardwick and his wife Erline of Galivants Ferry and Gennies Hardwick of Sevierville, Tn.; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Hardwick was pre-deceased by a son, Lynwood A. Hardwick, a brother and a sister.
Funeral services will be held at 4:30 P.M. Wednesday, August 24 at Mt. Trolly Freewill Baptist Church, with Rev. Marty Cox officiating. Burial will follow in Rehobeth United Methodist Church Cemetery, directed by Cox-Collins Funeral Home.
