LORIS - Mrs. Bessie Williamson Adams, 81, widow of Jessie I. Adams, Sr., died Tuesday in a local hospital.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Mount Vernon Baptist Church. Burial will be in United Baptist Church Cemetery, directed by Goldfinch Funeral Home.
Mrs. Adams was born in Horry County, a daughter of the late Curtis Williamson and Mrs. Mary P. Williamson. She was a member of Mount Vernon Baptist Church.
Surviving are: two sons, Donald Adams and Billy Stalvey, both of Loris; four daughters, Mrs. W. G. Malpass of Houston, Texas, Mrs. Louise Hughes and Mrs. John Caldwell, both of Hampton, VA., and Mrs. Harvey Hardee of Charleston; three brothers, McKeever Williamson of Nichols, Ler(o)y Williamson of Seattle, Wash., and Woodrow Williamson of Loris; two sisters, Mrs. Eppie Small of Nichols and Mrs. Cora Bankhead of Tampa, Fla.; 26 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren.
