Edward Carey Lowd, aged 24 years, died yesterday morning shortly after 1 o'clock at the home of his mother, Mrs. W. D. Lowd, 614 Poplar street. The funeral services will be held at the family residence this morning at 10 o'clock.
The young man was connected with the Chattanooga Saw Works and had many friends in the city who will learn with sorrow of his death. He leaves a mother, two brothers, R. T., and Joe R. Lowd, and three sisters, Mrs. Robert Chaney and Misses Sadie and Bertie Lowd.
Dr. Luther Freeman, pastor of the First Methodist Church, will conduct the service this morning, which will be under the direction of Sequoyah tribe, No. 45, I. O. R. M., of which the deceased was a member. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Cemetery.
