Nora Baker Wooten, a kind and generous wife, mother and friend taken far too soon from us all on Saturday, Aug. 6, 2005. She earned a place in our hearts and memories through her genuine concern for the well-being of all those she came to know and love. We will miss her greatly.
Nora, born July 28, 1957, and a longtime resident of Pitt County, grew up in Farmville. She was a member of St. James United Methodist Church in Greenville.

Nora graduated from Farmville Central High School and Lenoir Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. She also attended East Carolina University for three years while working toward her nursing degree. Nora was a registered nurse and the PDT coordinator for the Leo Jenkins Cancer Center at Pitt County Memorial Hospital.

On July 29th, she was stricken with a cerebral aneurism and succumbed several days later from complications.
She was preceded in death by her father, Alvin Baker Sr., on July 10, 2005.

She is survived by her husband, Ronnie Edward Wooten; two sons, Robert Edward Wooten and Stuart Baker Wooten; mother, Pauline Evans Baker; one sister, Connie Baker Blackmon and husband, Archie Lawrence Blackmon; two brothers, Alvin Baker Jr. and Darryl Gray Baker and wife, Lou Anne Pridgen Baker; mother-in-law, Virginia Pippin Wooten; sister-in-law, Gail Wooten Edwards and husband, Brian; nieces and nephews, Ashley Blackmon Leaming, Baysden Alvin Baker, Jacob Baker, Samuel Baker, Chris Edwards and Marshall Edwards, and by many other loving relatives and friends.

Nora will always be remembered and loved for the truly special person she was. She always lighted up every room and heart with her beautiful smile and warm personality.
She is truly an angel to all who knew and loved her. Her presence and love will remain in our hearts forever. Her three boys will always cherish the wonderful memories, feel her abundant love and everlasting presence.
