Funeral services for Cecil Francis Cassell, 78, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18, in St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church. The Rev. Peter Cook will officiate. Burial with full Masonic rites will be in Highland Memory Gardens under direction of Hixson Funeral Home. Visitation is from 6-9 p.m. today in the funeral home and from 9 a.m. Tuesday in the church. Mr. Cassell died at 6:56 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, 1997, in a local hospital.

A native of Woodworth, he had lived in Lake Charles for 58 years. He was a Navy veteran of World War Il and retired as a maintenance supervisor after 28 years with Cities Service. He was a 50-year member of Lake Charles Masonic Lodge 165 F&AM, and was a member of St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church and International Association of Machinists Lodge 1317.

Survivors are his wife, Della Cassell; one son, Doug Cassell; two daughters, Connie Jones and Linda Monticello, all of Lake Charles; one brother, Jessie Lee Cassell of Gulfport, Miss.; 14 grandchildren and five greatgrandchildren.
