Services Held Saturday for Louis (Lute) Grotjan (Obituary)
Funeral services for Louis W. (Lute) Grotjan, were held at 1:30 Saturday at the Dalton Methodist church, the Rev. Glenn Hosman officiating.
Mr. Grotjan, who was 76, died January 21 at his home in Dalton. A Chariton County resident most of his life, he was a self-employed plumber, shoe and harness repairman and painter until his retirement three years ago after a stroke.
Survivors include his wife, the former Miss Tillie Davis, whom he married September 26, 1906; two step daughters, Mrs. Dave Sullivan, Dalton, and Mrs. Louis Iglehart, Brunswick; three brothers, Otto and Tony Grotjan, Slater, and Pete Grotjan, Keytesville; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Cook, Kansas City, Missouri., and Mrs. Russell Willard, Kansas City, Kan.; an uncle, Oscar Grotjan, Dalton; five grandsons and one great-grandson.
He was born Feb. 12, 1882, the son of Lee and Sophia Grotjan. He joined the Dalton Methodist church a number of years ago.
