Author. Wrote many science fiction stories and novels, some with John J McGuire, and was a winner of many awards, including the Prometheus and Nebula. An only child, he supported himself and his widowed mother as a nightwatchman for the Pennsylvania Railroad. His biography is being written by famous fantasy writer John Carr. He committed suicide in 1964.
