Mr. James Howard Absher Jr., 75, of 120 Southwood Dr., died Sunday June 22, 2014.
The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, June 24, at Grace United Methodist Church, 800 Smith St. Clinton, with the Rev. Sam Loy and GW West officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Absher, born in Horry County, S.C. was the son of the late James Howard Absher, Sr. and Darcus "Dot" Amparo Rogers Absher. He was retired from the City of Clinton Parks and Recreation Department and was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by a sister, Carol Anita Absher.
Mr. Absher is survived by two sisters, Linda Matthis and husband Bobby of Clinton, Sylvia Walters and husband Frank of Whiteville; five nieces and nephews and several great and great-great nieces and nephews.
