Arthur W. Levenhagen, 69, of 109 Graceland Dr., LaPorte, died at 8:30 p.m. Monday at the LaPorte Hospital after an illness of nine months. He was born July 8, 1905 in LaPorte to August and Frieda (Eggebrecht) Levenhagen. He was married in Valparaiso on June 7, 1960 to Jeanette Kreidler. He was retired from Modine Manufacturing in 1970 after 34 years and was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Surviving are his wife; one son, Jack Kriedler at home; two brothers, Lorenz of Vincennes, Ind., Edward Levenhagen of LaPorte; one sister, Mrs. Gilmore Dankert of LaPorte; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the First United Methodist Church Chapel with Rev. W. Leon Hartman officiating. Burial will be in Pine Lake Cemetery. Friends may call at the Haverstock Funeral Home from noon Wednesday until 11 a.m. Thursday and then at the Methodist Church Chapel.
