Elizabeth Hurst, 92, of Route 4, Benton, died at 3:10 p.m. Friday, July 30, 1982, in Franklin Hospital. She was born Nov. 26, 1889, in Franklin County to Albert and Julia Whaley Woods. She was a member of Palestine Baptist Church north of Benton. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Samuel Hurst, who died in 1938. Survivors include a daughter, Edith Gifford of Benton, two grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was also preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Palestine Baptist Church. Burial will be in Franklin Cemetery northwest of Benton. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Hobbs-Johnson Funeral Home Benton, and from noon until time of services Monday at the church.
