ROCKWELL - Margaret Ellen Ludwick Maness, 87, 1085 Misenheimer Road, died Friday (Sept. 17, 1999) at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Otis (Roberta)Ragan, Granite Quarry.
Born Aug. 13, 1912, in Rowan County, Mrs. Maness was a daughter of the late Rufus Richard and Bertha Elizabeth Johnson Ludwick. Educated in the Rowan and Davidson county schools, she formerly worked at Erwin Mill, Cooleemee.
Also a homemaker, she was a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Jasper Clay Honeycutt, who died in 1950; her second husband, Quincy Adam Maness, who died in 1979; and sons Charles Edward and Thomas Clay Honeycutt.
Survivors, in addition to her daughter, include son David Richard Honeycutt, Rockwell; two other daughters, Mrs. Cody (Nolie)Myers, Kannapolis, and Mrs. Claude (Violet)Eagle, Clemmons; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and five step-great-great-grandchildren.
Services: Graveside, 2 p.m. Sunday, Rowan Memorial Park, Salisbury, conducted by Dr. Benny L. Vickery, pastor, First Baptist Church.
Visitation: The family will receive friends at the home of daughter Roberta Ragan, 1211 Juniper St., Granite Quarry.
