The major battles that he fought were, Normandy, France, Ardennes, D-Day, Battle of the Bulge, Rhineland and Central Europe. He helped liberate Paris and some concentration camps. He was awarded the EAME Campaign Medal with 5 bronze stars
Occupation: Dow Chemical following his military service, in 1950.
Other than the pride he held for his family, his war record came next. He was proud of his farm in East Texas which took him 31 years to get back, having been sold immediately after he enlisted.
