BELLVILLE: Eva G. Amsbaugh, 89, formerly of Huron Street, Bellville, died Monday, September 3, 2007 in Country Meadow Care Center following a short illness.
She was born April 13, 1918 in Bellville to Allen W. and Bertha A. (Shaffer) Amsbaugh, and remained a lifelong area resident.
Though Eva was legally blind, she never let that stop her from doing the things she loved. She was a seamstress who loved sewing, crocheting, and needlework.
Eva was active in several organizations including Fun and Friendship Club, Seniors Club, and the Bellville Historical Society.
Strong in faith, Eva was a member of the New Life Church of Christ.
She is survived by her nephew and his wife Robert E. and Barbara Shrader of Bellville, and her dear friend Martha Charles of Bellville, and several nieces and a nephew.
In addition to her parents, Eva was preceded in death by a brother Frank C. Amsbaugh, and two sisters Ethel Shrader and Florence E. Gardner.
Friends may call Thursday, September 6, 2007 in the Bellville Snyder Funeral Home from 10 am to 11 am, the funeral service will follow at 11 am. Adam Irwin will officiate and burial will follow in Bellville Cemetery.
