Walter Curt SPROLL was born on December 24th.1912 in KEMPTEN-GERMANY.
Walter served for His DUTY in the GERMAN ARMY.
Walter was FIELD POSTMASTER-Oberleutnant in WW2.
Walter was the Proud Bearer of the following decorations:
War Service Cross 1 and 2
The East Medal
and other War Decorations for Braverty.
Walter served also with the GERMAN ARMY in the Battles in the Countries : POLAND - FRANCE - RUSSIA and ITALY.
Walter died on September 29th.1944,wounded by bullets fired by an ITALIAN Partisan,when He with some of his Soldiers could'n escape from an ambush.
He was just 32 years old.
Walter was a good Officer and admired by His Soldier Comrades.
He is buried on the Honor Cemetery in BOLOGNIA-CERTOSA in
ITALY.
