Billy Mary "Mimi" Abell, 92, of Ralls, passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2011, in Ralls. Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M., Friday, August 5, 2011, at First united Methodist Church with Rev. Judy Shema of First United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Ralls Cemetery under the care of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.

A visitation for family and friends will be from 6-7 P.M., Thursday, August 4, 2011, at the funeral home.

Billy Mary was born on October 25, 1918, in Comanche, Texas, to Walter Whitney and Stella C. Frazier Gleaton. She married Roy R. Abell, Jr. on June 21, 1939 in Ralls. He preceded her in death on August 1, 1984. Roy and Billy Mary Abell owned and operated Abell Chevrolet Co. in Ralls from 1955 to 1981. She graduated from Wayland Baptist College. She was a Boy Scout Leader and was a member of First United Methodist Church. The family would like to express special thanks to the care she has received from the Ralls Nursing Home staff and Dr. Steve Alley.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and two sons, Gerre Donald and Kenneth Ronald Abell.

Survivors include her sons, Danny Abell & wife Suzie of Ralls and Davey Abell & wife Ann of Ralls, one sister, Fran Rodgers of Ralls, eight grandchildren, David (Julie) Abell, Angie (Duke) McDowell, Amanda Abell, Dee (Vickie) Abell, Mark (Shannon) Lambert, Misty (Tom) Kesterson, Jeff (Lannie) Lambert and Jason Lambert, nineteen great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
