Clyde Hall - Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church here for Constable & Deputy Sheriff Clyde A. Hall, who died shortly after noon Monday in Community Hospital following a lingering illness. Burial will be later in Phoenix, the family announced.

Constable Hall had served nearly a quarter of a century as a law enforcement officer in the Wickenburg area. Coming here May 1, 1946 from Phoenix, where he had been employed by the Fannin Gas Company, he continued with the organization here until accepting the appointment of Town Marshall in 1949 upon the death of the late Bill Holmes. A year or so later he left the Wickenburg Police Department to seek election as Constable of the as Constable of the Wickenburg precinct, a position he had held continuously since then. He served simultaneously as a Deputy Sheriff out of Maricopa County sheriff's office here.

A happy, cheerful individual with a keen sense of the duties and responsibilities of his office, Deputy Hall was popular not only with his fellow officers but also with the general public attested by the fact that he frequently led the ticket when seeking re-election.

He was born May 12, 1907 in Dallas, Texas, and came to Arizona in 1932.

He is survived by his wife Florence and four sons, Terry, at home; Jerry (Audrey), Gary (Jean) and Mike, all of Phoenix; a daughter, Mrs. Sharon Stacy, Santee, Calif.; his father, Mr. J. Albert Hall and a sister, Mrs. Helen (Don) Harwood and brother John A Hall, Jr. all of Phoenix. Nine grandchildren also survive.
