Deborah and her husband Dale were killed as a result of a head-on auto collision on Highway 395 near Lone Pine, CA on August 8th. They were returning to their home in Sylmar, CA, after a family event with her sister Leslie.
Deborah is survived by her parents Bill and Lily Van Aaist of Sylmar, a brother David, and sisters Leslie and Sandra.
Dale is survived by his 10 year old son Dale Jr; his parents Archie and Betty Jett of Gold Hill, Oregon, formerly of Sylmar; his brother Harry Jett of Butte Falls, Oregon; and his sister Myra Rogers of Los Angeles, CA.
Deborah was a 1976 Graduate of Alemany High School, Mission Hills, CA. For the past 6 years, she had been employed by Fortin Industries in Sylmar. Dale was a 1971 Alumnus of Sylmar High School, Sylmar, CA. He was employed by the Neimann Reid Company in Sepulveda.
A funeral Mass was held August 13th at St. Ferdinand's Church in San Fernando, CA. Graveside services were held at San Fernando Mission Cemetery, Mission Hills, CA.
