Passed away suddenly early Friday morning, May 11, 1979. at Saginaw General Hospital. Age 81 years. He was born Jan 31 1898, in Saginaw where he resided all of his life. He married Helen H. Hart Jan 24 1921, in Saginaw.
She predeceased him Aug 27,1967. He was a member of St John Lutheran Church, Second and Federal Ave., a life member of the Royal Arch Masons Saginaw Valley Chapter No. 31. Mr Boettcher was a tool and diemaker and owned and operated Boettcher Tool Co. in Bridgeport. Previously he had been employed at General Motors until 1939.
Surviving are three daughters a daughter in-law, and six sons, Mrs Duane (Ruth) Bouliew,Birch Run; Mrs Duane (Norma) Sauve, Mrs Helen Daurick and Mrs Wallace (Irma) Boettcher, all of Saginaw; Robert (Virginia)Boettcher of Bay City; Jerry (Barb) Boettcher of Swartz Creek; Richard A. Boettcher, Fenton;Eugene w. Boettcher, Bay City; G.Tom Boettcher, Saginaw; Harry G. Boettcher, Englewood,Co; 28 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren.
A son Wallace predeceased him Aug 26 1972. Also surviving are one sister and two brothers, Mrs Dorothea Sanders,Flint; Oscar Boettcher, Saginaw; Edgar Boettcher, Tawas; several nieces and nephews. Two sisters, Norma Boettcher and Mrs John (Leota) Murphy. and three brothers,Paul,Otto and Harry Boettcher predeceased him.
Funeral service will take place 1:00 p.m Monday at the Deisler Brothers Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter off State. Rev. Herbert F. Dornbrock will officiate with burial in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Friends may call the funeral home on Hemmeter after 7:00 p.m Saturday where the family will be present from 7 to 9pm, Saturday 2 to 5pm and 7 to 9pm on Sunday. Those who so desire may make memorials to the American Cancer Society, the Michigan Heart Fund or St. John Lutheran Church
