Demetri "Dee" G. Vlass, 58, of Franklin, passed away at home, Wednesday, June 15, 2011.

Born in Atlanta, GA, he was the son of George Vlass and the late Millie Harris Vlass. Dee was owner of Vlass House Grill; was the owner of the Lunch Box and previously worked at Lowe's. He loved sports, the Atlanta Braves and any team Geoff coached. Dee enjoyed spending time with family and grandkids and loved getting to work with Poppa George. He was a member of Life Church.

In addition to his father, George Vlass and step mother, Linda, he is survived by his wife, Barbara Phillips Vlass; a daughter, Sarah Harrell and husband Blair of Cartersville, GA; step son, Geoff Collins and wife Jennifer of Starkville, MS; two brothers, Steven Vlass and Michael Vlass both of Indian Harbor Beach, FL; two grandchildren, Caleb and Elijah Harrell; several nephews; one niece and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral Service will be held at 4:30 p.m. Friday, June 17, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Patrick Moore and Rev. Randy Drinnon will officiate. Burial will be in Burningtown Baptist Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Thursday, June 16, at Macon Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests, as Dee would say, to "Do some good for someone else."
