Born Oct. 7, 1919, to Lawrence D. and Rhoda Moon, she died Dec. 22, 2001, in Ardmore. Mrs. Porter was married to Harlon C. Porter on Dec. 9, 1951, at VanBuren, Ark. He preceded her in death on Dec. 18, 1999. She was also preceded by a brother, L.D. Moon Jr.
Reared in Mannsville, Russett and Ravia areas, she later lived in Wilson before moving back to Mannsville in 1973. She worked as a seamstress for Bullard's Department Store.
Surviving are a brother, W.F. Moon, Oklahoma City; a nephew, Jerry Moon, Alma, Ark., and a niece, Sharron Ward, Las Vegas.
Watts Funeral Home, Madill, is in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be from 1 until 9 p.m. Tuesday.
