Ruth Corrice Kent, 79, of the Brighton Tower Apts. in Syracuse, passed away Friday at the home of her son in the Valley. She was a waitress for the Corner House and formerly for Branca's Restaurant. She was also formerly employed by GE Heavy Military in radar production. Ruth attended Grace Baptist Church and was a former communicant of St. Lucy's Church. She was an avid walker, loved her pets and enjoyed caring for her grandchildren. Ruth was predeceased by her parents, James and Lena O'Brien. Surviving are her husband of 34 years, William M.; sons, Gene Corrice of Syracuse, Al (Maureen) Corrice of the Valley and Robert (Barbara) Corrice of Rocky Point; daughters, Judy O'Brien of Winter Springs, FL, and Amy (Graylynn) Passineau of Rochester; sister, Rose (Gerry) Keys of Cicero; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Relatives and friends may call Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Grace Baptist Church, 423 Valley Dr., Syracuse. Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Ruth will be laid to rest in St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt. Arrangements are by Buranich Funeral Home, Camillus. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Al Corrice Family, 2441 Valley Dr., Nedrow, NY 13120.
