Ethel M. Marshall "DoDo" passed away on Sunday, January 23, 2011. She was born in Rock Point, MD. She was the fourth of six children. She was five years of age when her family moved to Lewisetta, Va. She came to Washington, DC. And married the late Ford Marshall. Ethel completed 25 years of service with Sears, Roebuck and Company. After retirement she traveled to Europe and South America. Ethel was very active with the Daughters of America. In years past she was Chairlady raising funds of Leukemia. She was Chaplain and Travel Chairperson of the Branchwood Towers Senior Club. She was a lifetime member of the VFW of Morningside, MD. For the last two years, she resided at Crofton Care and Rehabilitant Center in Crofton, Md where she was fortunate to have many wonderful nurses and aides who cared for her during her last years. She was preceded in death by her husband, two sons and all of her siblings. She is survived by daughter, Pamela Smith; devoted grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and many friends. Viewing will be held at Lee Funeral Home. Coventry way and Branch Ave. Clinton, Md on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Services and interment will be held at Melrose United Methodist Church and Cemetery, 1317 Lewisetta Road., Lottsburg, Va 22511 on Thursday January 27, 2011 with viewing at 10a.m. and service at 11 a.m. Jones-Ash Funeral Home in Rainswood, Va also helped with the funeral arrangements in Virginia.
