Fayette Andrew Squires, 88, Detroit Lakes, Minn., died Friday, March 19, 1999,in St. Mary's Regional Health Center, Detroit Lakes. Mr. Squires, known as Fay, was born Oct. 25, 1910, near Tappen, N.D. He worked in Fargo then moved to Wadena, Minn., where he owned Red Feather Café. On Sept. 3, 1942, he married Dagmar Klinger married in Minneapolis. They worked in the Twin Cities until moving to Detroit Lakes on Jan. 1, 1950. Fay was a Owner for Squires Motors, Gate City Savings and Loan, the and President of the Greystone Manor Inc and the owner of the Squires Realty. Mt. Tabor. he enjoyed participating in Elks Club activities with his Wife, and loved spending time with his family, his grandchildren. Fayette loved he enjoyed playing golf, shopping, playing bridge and socializing with friends.
