Mrs. Oneta "Bill" Stroud, 77, of Huntsville died June 30, 1997, at Huntsville. She was born June 3, 1920, at Aurora, Ark., the daughter of Roy and Jewell Seaman Dudgeon. She was a former receptionist at the Ozark Guidance Center in Huntsville and had been employed at Edwards Department Store in Huntsville for several years. She was a member of Faith Southern Baptist Church in Huntsville and a member and past worthy matron of Huntsville Chapter #487, The Order of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include her husband, Douglas Stroud of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Harold Douglas "Butch" and Pat Stroud of Huntsville; one daughter and son-in-law, Christine Elizabeth "Bette" and Jeff Parrott of Miami, Okla.; two grandsons and one granddaughter-in-law, Jeffrey Parrott of San Francisco, Calif., and Tim Douglas and Diane Stroud of Huntsville; one granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Paige Elizabeth and Shawn Thomas of Oklahoma City, Okla.; and one great-grandson, O'Shay Douglas Stroud of Huntsville.

Services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 2, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with the Rev. Rovert Grummer officiating. Interment was in the Aurora Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Milt Thompson, Jim Harris, Tim Stroud, Jeffrey Parrott, Howard Cain and Junior Cline. Honorary pallbearers were C.N. Watson, Honsel Benegar, Orba Youngblood, and Richard Edmisten.
