Grace was born and raised in South Baltimore near historic Fort McHenry. As a child she played along the sea wall and also visited the Fort frequently during her later years to simply sit and watch the water. She enjoyed romantic movies and novels, Gone With The Wind was a favorite movie and book. She married and had a beautiful wedding at St Mary's Star of the Sea church on April 27, 1957. During the early years of her marriage she lived in Illinois, returning eventually with her husband "Pepe" and two children to South Baltimore. She worked before her marriage as a typist for the Credit Bureau and later as a school Secretary and a store clerk. She had two children, and five grandchildren and one great grandchild. She always kept in contact with family and friends with letters and cards. She loved to travel and especially enjoyed her trip to Hawaii. She was active in her community and church and enjoyed socializing with friends.
