Wilda L. Milliron, 83, of Distant, died Sunday afternoon, July 17, 2011, at the Clarion Hospital. She was born Aug. 1, 1927, in Armstrong County, a daughter of Willis and Birtie May (White) Reedy. She married Boyd H. Milliron, Feb. 1, 1946, and he preceded her in death March 1, 2008. She was a member of the Goheenville Presbyterian Church. She worked for Rola Jensen. Wilda is survived by a son, Terry L. Milliron and his wife, Katherine, of Hawthorn; a daughter, Vickie Eberle and her husband, William, of Fairmount City (Sherman Heights ); four grandchildren, Brian (Mary) Milliron, of Hawthorn, Michael Milliron, of New Bethlehem, Tonnia (Chris) Burkett, of Sherman Heights, and Kevin (Cherry) Eberle, of Hawthorn; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; one sister, Lossie Hicks, of Kittanning; and two half sisters, Sheila Mercer and Penny Meyers, both of Chambersburg. She was preceded in death by both parents; husband; two brothers, Marlin Reedy and an infant; and one sister, Goldie Bish. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the ALCORN FUNERAL HOME in Hawthorn. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor John Phillips officiating. Interment will be at the Oakland Cemetery in Distant.
